Worth The Fall

Readers will swoon for J.T. McKinney as New York Times bestselling author Claudia Connor follows up Worth the Fall and Worth the Risk with a brand-new novel in her McKinney Brothers series.

After a car accident stole his dreams of pro football, JT McKinney has made a new life for himself far away from his old one. He spends his time in a prosthetic research and development facility, his attention on machines instead of people until a chance meeting with a young mother and her five year old daughter who need his help. He’ll have to let go of the past if he wants a future…

RATED IT: It was amazing.

It seems when I find a book that knocks me flat on my romance loving butt that I find that it’s the hardest reviews to write. I am a sweet romance lover. I am a sexy hero collector. I am a loyal perfect alpha HUNTER and I found all of this in Worth the Fall.

RATED IT: It was amazing.

Every once in a while I brand new author blows me away and Claudia Connor has done just thatand I wish we had more stars for me to give because it is so worthy. From the very first chapter I was entranced by her characters in Worth The Fall. During this book I had feelings of elation, misery, disappointment, excitement, joy and love and there were a couple of times I cried big, ugly crocodile tears and that tells me that this author is a superb storyteller.

From the SEAL hero who is caught between a promise to a fallen friend and the life he so desperately craves, to the heroine who has been through so much in her lifetime I often wonder where she found the strength to keep going, to her four adorable children who often steal the show, to the hero’s family who provide wisdom, strength, and a knock upside the head when warranted I am so in love with these characters and already have the next release date on my calendar because I don’t want to miss a thing. This is a love story that encompasses so many different kinds of love; it is the love between a man and woman for sure, but it is a man loving a woman’s children more than he ever thought possible, it is children loving a man who has been more of a dad to them in a week than their father ever was, it is friends loving a woman who deserves someone who will love her fiercely and put her first, and it is a family loving a son and brother who hasn’t been the same since he lost a close friend and who only want the best for him.

I’ve read over 250 books this year already and this one is in the top five, it is that good.

RATED IT: It was amazing.

I don’t think there are many more perfect summer contemporary romances than Worth the Fall.

RATED IT: It was amazing.

4.5 Stars It is rare that I am blown away by a book, especially one that I had no expectations for whatsoever, but blown away I was.

Holy hawtness this was fabulous and sweet and just what I needed to read, when I needed to read it.

I dare anyone to read this and not fall in love with Matt, Abby, Gracie, Annie, Jack, and Charlie because I don’t think it is possible. They each grabbed a hold of my heart and held on tight throughout the story and even though I read this in one sitting (yes it was that good), I found myself thinking about it, about them, hours even days later. I couldn’t get them out of my mind or out of my heart.
